This book is the product of nearly a quarter-century of work. I first taught the Public Policy Analysis course in 2001 as part of my doctoral studies at the Indiana University Bloomington School of Public and Environmental Affairs in the United States. Over the nearly quarter-century since that first teaching experience, I have had the opportunity to deepen and broaden my knowledge and experience in this field on various occasions. Primarily at Hacettepe University, but also at many other public and private universities in Türkiye and abroad, I have taught numerous courses, seminars, and training sessions on public policy analysis to decision-makers, practitioners, and students at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels, as well as in adult education programs. In terms of my academic writing activities, I have authored books, book chapters, lecture notes, articles in Turkish and English, and reports for think tanks on public policy analysis. Particularly since the early 2010s, with the growing interest in public policy analysis within the discipline of public administration in Türkiye1, I have had the opportunity to focus my work primarily on this subject.
