Turcademy, Türkiye’deki tüm akademik yayınları tek bir portal altında bir araya getirmek, bu yayınları dijital ortamda akademisyenler, araştırmacılar ve öğrencilerle kolayca buluşturmak ve Türkiye’de e-kitap yayıncılığının gelişimine katkı sağlamak amacıyla geliştirilmiş yerli bir e-kitap platformudur.
Proje geliştiricileri, uluslararası yayınevleriyle uzun yıllara dayanan iş ortaklıkları ve projelerden kazandığı bilgi birikimi ve tecrübesini kullanarak, Türkiye’de dijital yayıncılığın gelişimine katkı sağlamak amacıyla Turcademy e-kitap platformunu geliştirmiştir. Türkiye’nin akademik yayıncılık alanındaki ihtiyaçlarını karşılamaya yönelik olarak tasarlanan Turcademy, başlangıçta yaklaşık 3000 e-kitap ile kullanıcıların erişimine sunulmuştur. Platform, Türkiye’nin önde gelen yayınevlerinin ve değerli eserlerinin de katılımıyla kapsamını genişleterek kısa sürede 16.000’in üzerinde esere ulaşmayı başarmış, bu sayede öğrenci ve araştırmacılar için akademik alanda sıkça başvurulan bir kaynak haline gelmiştir.
