Digitalization has become one of the key driving forces transforming performance analysis, training planning, and athlete development processes in sport sciences. Advances in information and communication technologies have significantly increased the capacity for data generation in sport environments and have enabled the development of new methods for analyzing these data. In this context, data-driven approaches are gaining increasing importance in sport sciences and the evaluation of performance is becoming more systematic (Pedersen, 2013; Jenny et al., 2017; Rein & Memmert, 2016; Davenport & Harris, 2007).
