Physical literacy has become an important research topic in both education and health sciences in recent years, as a fundamental concept supporting children’s lifelong participation in physical activity. Physical literacy encompasses not only the development of motor skills but also children’s motivation toward physical activity, self-confidence, and their social and cognitive development. In this context, the reflections of nature-based physical and sport activities on child development constitute a subject that should be addressed from a multidisciplinary perspective. In particular, the relationship between play tendency and physical literacy is of critical importance for understanding children’s healthy developmental processes.
